Long Point

We had a lovely time camping at Long Point for a couple days. We met up with some friends and family and had a perfect set of sites sandwiched between the beach and the playground.

Bryan and Valerie are a really easy-going, accommodating pair to camp with. Bryan was so kind as to play games with the kids (he has a fantastic game collection) and take them fishing, and Valerie and I had lots of time for talks and walks.

We had a large entourage of children on our walks! Marguerite is at LP for an extended time, with various friends & family taking turns staying with her; and on the day we arrived Lori and Kara were there with four children to add to the number. They all hit it off just fine.

Mom and Dad S. also came for the day.

Thursday we were down to just our twelve children (between our two families).

The last day it rained. Other than a coffee break under B&V's canopy and the golden opportunity to take photos of little girls under umbrellas, it wasn't much fun. We made one big pile of soggy, sandy tent, and dumped it in the trailer - along with about three hundred other soggy, sandy things, plus two buckets of dirty dishes thrown in for good measure. Then we closed the lid on the whole business and dragged it home.

I've discovered Home to be a massively attractive destination.  I may not want to vacation anywhere else (for awhile).

We're drying out now.
