The Toronto Islands

It's been a number of years since we visited the Islands, so it was really fun this week to revisit this old-family-favorite destination.

There were a few extra rules due to COVID, like prebooking tickets (which we did just the day before) and wearing masks on the ferry, but otherwise it was very much the same as old times.

When booking the day before, I was dismayed to find they are charging this year to enter Centerville; you either pay a basic entry fee or you pay a play all day pass - there is no option to buy tickets per ride. We ended up getting ride passes just for the three younger kids, and while they enjoyed the rides the rest of us enjoyed watching their enjoyment. :)

Centerville is such a cute place with almost all the same old rides... so though the cost was a little steep I thought it was worth it.

Zay's rollercoaster faces 😂

He takes driving very seriously. :)

The older kids treated us to ice cream and funnel cakes.

...and discovering a seemingly abandoned play tower in the overgrown shrubbery.
