These June Days

These June days are quiet with just the littles at home most days. On the first of the days without his big brother playmates around, Zay marched straight to the back door, and stood shouting to the  wide, empty world, "Sho-Sho! Shim! Wiwwa!"
Since then, we've settled into a peaceable routine; we do odd jobs about the house, Marike thinks of some little special thing to do together, and, at some point in nearly every day, Zay climbs up beside Marike while she reads, and falls asleep -  Zay leaning on Marike, and Ooda leaning on Zay.

On this particular day Marike planned a garden party for the three of us.

It was a good opportunity to start teaching Isaiah some rules of etiquette such as not eating directly from the serving spoons.

Absconding in other people's "shooce" again....

He has granted me a home... a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord!
